Motorola Moto X Common Issues

Broken screen

Whether you have first or second generation Moto X, our skilled expert technicians can repair your device and have you as good as new in under one hour at an unbeatable price. Even if your touch screen doesn’t work or the display is completely blank!

Phone freezes

If your Moto X freezes frequently, you likely have an issue with one of your apps. The first thing to try is to wipe the cache. Follow the steps below and be careful not to hit the wrong button as you can damage your phone or lose all of your data.

  1. It is recommended that you backup all of your data.
  2. Power the device down.
  3. After the phone is completed off, press and hold the power, volume down, and home
  4. The phone should boot into a menu.
  5. Use the volume down key to select Recovery and enter by pressing the power
  6. You should see an Android error screen.
  7. Press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons together for 5 seconds.
  8. Use the volume down button to select Wipe Cache Partition and press the power
  9. Let the operation finish then press the power button again to reboot the phone.

If wiping the cache partition does not stop the phone from freezing, you will need to backup your data and perform a complete factory reset. If you would prefer not to perform the above steps on your own, bring your device to your local My Broken Phone repair center so that we may do it for you.

Poor Battery Life

If your battery drains rapidly, you should try restarting your device and disabling all unnecessary services such as background data and GPS when not in use. If this doesn’t solve your problem, bring the device to one of our repair centers so a technician can determine if you are in need of a replacement battery. Motorola batteries are kept in stock and can be installed during your lunch break!
